Electoral fraud Glenrothes.
But it is absolutely in line with what happened on Newsnicht on Thursday where we had the anti-English pot stirred again.
What Labour are so deperately trying to do is raise smoke screens all over the place and ramp up the anti-SNP rhetoric to cover up the rotten stench coming from Glenrothes.
No politician will say this but Labour / have form on this, and I truly believe with all my heart that some one on the dark side shredded these documents. A voting register is a very substantial amount of paper, which would have taken a long time to shred. It is not one sheet of paper that would blow away because renovation work was taking place on the nick.
The smart arsed remark from the reluctant Labour MP Roy was just pure contempt. He should be furious and kicking down doors as it is the only way he can show that the election was legal and above board. Calum Cashley makes a good point, there is another way.
You could sense the naked anger bordering on sectarian hatred emanating fromMurphy on Scottish Questions. As the governor general of Scotland he is the one who's job it is to make elections safe and above board in Scotland. On that he has failed. As Douglas Alexander failed.
The background chattering and mocking laughter that takes place during Scottish questions is testament to the desire of the Westminster gravy train elite that they have nothing but contempt for Scots.
When their naked hostility causes Mr Speaker who is one of them to chastise them, it shows us just how bad things have got. This story will run and run.
Referendum now please Alex, bring it on please.
Glenrothes stinks.
The SNP requested the documents in November, but were informed on Friday that they had gone astray.
Now the Scottish Court Service is instigating an external investigation into the circumstances of the loss.
Tricia Marwick, MSP for Central Fife said: "The marked registers are an essential element of any election campaign.
They allow a check of who voted – but not how they voted – to confirm that the election was conducted properly.
''Without these records there is no evidence of either a fair or unfair election.
''This undermines the confidence of everyone who took part."
She added: "It is almost beyond belief that a by-election which attracted media coverage throughout the UK, which delivered such a surprise result and had a much higher turnout than anticipated now has no records to show who actually voted.
"There now needs to be the fullest independent inquiry.
''The registers must have gone missing almost immediately after they were delivered to the Sheriff Clerk's Office because we first asked for copies on November 19.
''I also want to know why we were not told that they had gone missing when we first started to make inquiries about examining them."
Under current electoral law the marked register and voting papers are kept by the Sheriff Clerk for a year following an election.
These can be requested for analysis by candidates and their campaigners.
Eleanor Emberson, Chief Executive of the Scottish Court Service said: "It is important for all concerned to establish what happened to the marked register. We know that we still hold other documentation relating to the Glenrothes by-election but that this register is missing.
"I deeply regret and apologise for this loss and am arranging for the matter to be fully and independently investigated."
Labour welcomed the inquiry, but called Tricia Marwick's comments "crazy" and described them as "dirty tricks and sour grapes rolled into one"
A spokesman said: "Lindsay Roy won because of the incompetence of the SNP locally and nationally. The ballot papers were counted fair and square in front of the eyes of the world.
"Ms Marwick's comments are an insult to the intelligence of Fifers. She simply cannot accept that they decided to vote for Labour, not her party."
Labour beat the SNP in last year's vote, sending former Kirkcaldy High School headteacher Mr Roy to the House of Commons.

Glenrothes election fraud.

Labour, can teach him nothing.
Had to blog as the Glenrothes story is growing legs even as we blog. The reason I think, as do many others that something illegal has happened is because Labour have form on this going back decades. That plus the fact that they are confirmed as corrupt lying sleazy shop stewards, tells me if it smells of sleaze then it is sleaze, and Labour will be in the thick of it. If this is uncovered as I think it will be, then this will be the tipping point for Scottish Independence. We need an independent enquiry now by the UN and the EU. And I am writing to every one I can think of to say that.
The following is copied from Scottish Mediawatch todays issue:
How it's Done
From Donald Anderson
Former Senior SSP Member
In the mid 70’s I acted as a polling clerk in two municipal elections, two years running in Glasgow. I was a mature student at Strathclyde and a mature student friend, of the same political persuasion, was also a clerk at the next polling Station. I was at the Round Toll and he was further down Cowcaddens. The old tenements were still there and this was in the height of the Glasgow Clearances.
It soon became evident that all the staff were Labourites. One was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain. The words “communist” and “Great” Britain obviously presented no problem to him. I immediately concentrated on him, talking about John MacLean and his international Socialism, being careful not to mention his stand on a Scottish Workers Republic and his persecution from the Great British State, the Labour Party and the CP of GB. I had to stifle myself when the Labourites joined in, even more ignorant of socialism, then the GB member.
I was one of them, a British Nationalist Labourite, they thought. So they laid into the SNP and I managed to bite my tongue. They showed me how to stuff the ballot boxes during the quiet spells, of which there were many. They stamped ballot papers and put their crosses next to the Labour candidate and shoved them into the box. If someone came in and their vote was already used, they just scored the next one off the electors roll with a ruler. The voter could hardly notice this, as the Roll would be upside down to them and they were usually confused as to procedure.
Towards closing time a (now deceased) cousin of mine, Sammy Halliday, came to vote, rather the worse for wear after his shift as foreman on the ashfelt and his shift in the pub afterwards. His dunkey jaikit, working claes and boots were covered in ashfelt. He immediately recognised me and dumped a broon paper parcel of ham ribs on my Elector’s roll, proclaiming to all and sundry. “Haw. That’s mah wee cousin. I’m votin’ for him. He’s SNP. "Up the Scottish Socialist Republic.” Was I mortified? I can still picture the Pom Frits’ furious and helpless faces. There was nothing they could do about me. Usually, they are always running to the polis station with the pettiest of complaints about the SNP. When my cousin finally realised something was up, the clerks, rather unsportingly for Old Firm fans, refused his generous offer of a Skwerr go ootside. My own disappointment at their refusal to fight was soon dispelled when he offered me the ham ribs and telt me no’ to gie thae basturts ony. I took them hame tae the wife. I’m too good tae her.
My chum, at the next polling station, loudly declared is allegiance to an Independent Scotland at the end of the evening and gave them some anatomical advice on stuffing their papers. Between the pair of us I reckon we outvoted the Labour Fiddlers Rally and the winner was the late Angus MacIntosh, SNP Cooncillor for Coocaddens. I tried to advise the SNP to get everyone to act as Polling Clerks each election and outvote the paid Labour Clerks. But, did they listen?
I’m 71 noo and they can go the polis if they like. Or better still, try and take it oot the nose. I’m still up for it.

Mr T on election fraud in Glenrothes.
Traquir , Alba,
03/02/2009 00:54:37 Well this is quite interesting."THE ONLY official record of who voted in a Westminster by-election that rocked the political world has mysteriously gone missing placing a question mark over the result."
"All the major parties, including Labour on election night itself, had predicted that the nationalists would narrowly win the seat, which borders Prime Minister Gordon’s Brown’s constituency.
The Labour victory sent shockwaves through the SNP and was the catalyst for a revival of Labour’s fortunes nationally." - Not for long of course :)
"Candidates and their agents are allowed to see a copy of the register, which records only who voted and not how they voted.
However, after repeated requests for the document last month, Councillor John Beare, the convener of the SNP Central Fife constituency, has been told that it has gone missing."
Last night Central Fife SNP MSP Tricia Marwick said
“All I can say for sure is that the crucial information that proves it one way or another has gone missing.
“I have no evidence of foul play. I sincerely hope not. But the turnout at this by-election surprised everyone and the result was a surprise."

The Broon bounce has bust anyway , I wonder
how much the saviour of the World would be up
to a rerun :)
