Elmer Fudd.

This article has had me chortling since I read it this morning. Robert McNeil continues to entertain, this is the finest piece of satire I think I have ever read. His use of the Loony Tunes character Elmer Fudd is just hilarious.

On a more serious not a couple of other articles have alluded to the fact that Brown is now in the middle of a scorched earth reprisal against Scotland for having the temerity to vote for a nationalist government. Given the amount of near sectarian vitriol that has come from Unionist sources on the subject, and the fact that it took Brown weeks to speak to Salmond to acknowledge his Premiership after the election on May 7th. 2007, and Blair even now cannot and has not acknowledged Salmond, I have no doubt what these Unionist imperialists are capable of doing. In particular Brown who appears to be dangerously flawed.

To treat the Political Leader of any other nation with such utter contempt and disrespect would result in a diplomatic incident being filed at the UN. But it seems you can be as rude to and about Scots and Scotland as you like, and not one agency in the UK will raise an eyebrow. Especially the media.

To use the present financial situation to bring the UK to it's knees, and consequently starve Scotland for her folly in courting nationalism is I believe now looking more and more credible, as loosing Scotland would be a total disaster for the UK, and we all know it. Scotland has always underperformed the UK and most of the small independent EU nations, it should follow therefore that we, in Browns cynical mind will suffer much more proportionately than the UK as a whole, and so come flocking back to his corrupt Labour party.

My own hope is that the Scottish electorate will spit in Browns eye at the next election and return even more SNP MPs, taking the view as I do that any pain no matter how bad it becomes is worth taking to take our independence away from this corrupt and failed UK.

It makes not a jot of difference to these Teflon coated elite, whether we are in bust or boom, protected as they are by the gold plated bubble of their own creation. But you can see now how they must be rejoicing at the emerging of the new witches, one in the shape of Bankster Fred Goodwin the greediest porker of them all. Oh how they needed this pariah to appear, and by God he will now be hounded to near death by these ruthless cynical elite, although it is hard to feel sorry for him.

WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM.

Thanks to Rosie for reminding us on her blog of the lack of respect shown to the deaths of brave men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice in our names. The recent deaths in Afghanistan has barely merited a mention in the press. As I have been blogging in a very uncomplimentary manner about Hoon and Ingram you will see why at the bottom of the role of honour are the names of the 14 personnel who died as a result of the incompetence, indifference and lies of these politicians, in the Nimrod crash, which should and could have been prevented. As the father of a serving officer, this makes me very very angry.

We also remember the Iraq dead in the most recent campaign, suffice to say that these countries have claimed the lives of many many British personnel over the century's in the name of............?

Let us also remember that when a report comes in that says "wounded." That can hide some horrific injuries, leaving behind a lifetime of pain and suffering. When you look at the derisory compensation offered to these "wounded," compared to that offered to the MOD typist who received nearly half a million pounds, it is simply disgusting.
